I started shooting around 2014 with a Canon Rebel T5. After buying an adapter for my Minolta film lenses, I wanted to capture everything and everyone. To me, the 50mm 1.4 Rokkor-X was beautifully paired with the colors Canon produced.

Using a camera to express myself feels more natural than all the other art mediums I’ve tried. I like how my mind works when I put it through a lens.

I shot with the Hasselblad X2D 100C a few months back and I still think about it to this day. It was my first time shooting medium format and there’s not question about it: my next camera will be a Hasselblad.

The first photo shoot I was actively a part of was in 2021. My friend Dan originally invited me to take BTS photos for his website, but I also helped him with lighting and got to snap some shots with my camera.

Working with Dan and his crew set the standard for how a photoshoot should run and feel: creative, collaborative, encouraging, and freeing. That day, I felt like a real photographer.

Lately, I’ve been listening to more and more Ecuadorian music, specifically Cumbia. It puts me in a festive mood when drawing thumbnails for a shoot or working on set.
